Toesday

The Lap Lady is feeling under the weather so I'm must going to sit on her and purr. I leave you with toes to entertain you today.

Man Cat Monday

There were boomies and flashes and HAIL last night. I do not really do well with storms...I flat-cat (I crouch my body as low as it can go and run as fast as I can) and take cover until all is well. My usual hiding spot is behind the bathroom door but the Awesome Man has been keeping that door shut so I have to find a new place. I tried behind the couch but it just didn't feel right. Basically I had to flat-cat around through the whole storm.

Frootbat Friday

Sometimes I move so fast you can only make out streaks-o-Kaze. Most of the pictures taken of me while I'm playing are "trash" because I'm such a blur. You can see how intent I am on catching the toy, I have laser vision on my target while my body is moving super duper fast! I didn't catch it...the Tall Man is too good at playing and he always wins.

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Reasons I am Adorable

1. My fur is very color coordinated in a soothing gradient.
2. My icy blue contrasting eyes.
3. If I'm walking my tail arches over my back in an arc.
4. If I'm sitting my tail curls at the end into a little circle.
5. My meezes are like squeaks.
6. When I settle into a lap I melt in and all the human notices is my warmth.
7. I can always make my Meowmy smile just by looking at me.
8. I make loud huff noises while whacking my tail on the ground when I'm hunting a toy.
9. I only eat one crunchy at a time and I won't start my breakfast until the people are going out of the door in the morning.
10. My head and face are perfectly shaped.
11. I'm just generally tiny.
12. When I lie in a sun spot I snuggle myself.
13. I am portable and enjoy going on adventures Out of Doors.

Zoo-Day

Leopard was HUNGRY

Cheetas were hungry too.

Sleepy Lion

Exhausted Jaguar

Hidden Snow Leopard

Playful Tigers

We want to thank everyone for the nice comments about the Lap Lady getting into the law school she wanted. We will have to admit that things will change with our blog in May. We won't be able to comment much at all and we can't guarantee posts either. We promise we won't just go poof and we do hope you will all continue to be our very good friends. We will keep up as much as we can because this blog is a huge part of our lives.

Meezing on Monday

We had some nice visitors over the weekend and they wanted to take me home with them (of course). I don't know why some humans try to resist my charms. Anyhow, they all went to the Philadelphia Zoo's 150th birthday celebration. It is the oldest zoo in the country and they saw LOTS of big cats and such. Meowmy even brought her "good" camera (usually she keeps that at home).

And in human news Meowmy got into her #1 choice of Law Schools but starts May 26th! So we're a little worried about loosing her blogging help so soon.

Bad Frootbat Friday

I had a little incident last night that ended up in quite the traumatic incident. I was playing with a choice piece of trash (which my LL swears she has no idea where I found it because she just cleaned the kitchen). Suddenly I inhaled it! It felt really weird in my throat and I tried to cough it up but it wouldn't come up. Every time I took a breath the paper rattled in my throat and I was very askeered. My LL ran up and got the PTU (wrong one, I've never been in that one!) and then shoved me in there and then we went into the metal machine. I was really really askeered and I couldn't breath right. The LL tried to tell me I'd be OK but I couldn't believe her. About 5 minutes into the ride I had a BIG cough and then the rattling in my throat stopped.

By the time we got to the ER vet I was meezing normally but my gums were not looking good so they put me in the Oxygen tank for a while. This was not much fun and my LL was not with me! I did my usual purr so much they can't hear my heart beat and the vet had to leave me with my humans for a while so I would calm down a bit. Which I did. And then I was OK. I think the LL was worse off than I was.

When I got home, you're never going to believe this, Chase was NICE to me!! He just sat in front of me and blinky eyed at me for a long time. I guess he does kind of like me. I have to go rest now because it was a sacrifying experience and I was sure I would never make it home again!

Gone Fishing

I don't know why fishing is so difficult. If you hang out they eventually just leap into your mouth. At least in our house...

Climbing Troubles

I've been rather jumpy lately. I leap on top of the Lap Lady when she is getting food out of the cabinet even when she is wearing her work clothes. I've taken to just climbing her when she is wearing jeans too. But this, this one surprised her the most of all. She was sitting on the couch and I jumped straight onto her head. Yup, I just jumped on up there to hang out. She was laughing so hard and had to call the Tall Man to take a picture. I haven't been back up there because her head is round and not flat like I thought it might be.

The Urge to Purge

I am constantly finding new ways to get back at the Woman for existing. Yesterday I yakked in her lunch bag. She heard the whole thing too and came in to clean up a floor pile of yak only to find a yak filled lunch sack. Hahaha.....I crack myself up sometimes.

Meanwhile I showed my undying love to the Awesome Man. I love that man.

Big new! It is Skeezix the Cat's 4th Blogoversary ! Skeezix is the one who inspired us to blog almost 3 years ago now. We have read every single post he and his brother's have made in that time. Please go wish him a happy blogoversary. Remembering all of the exploits over the past four years reminded us why we love blogging so much. It also reminded us of a few choice words we use quite often that most humans don't understand. Thanks Skeezy, you have made our world a better place!

Man Cat on the Prowl

Man Cats all have a distinctive mancat saunter about us. A swagger if you will. It isn't just about getting from one point to another- it is about getting there with style. You can hear every paw hit the wood floor and it even creaks under my weight sometimes. My tail hangs lazily but alert should I need to give an annoyed twitch. Strutting my stuff is just what I do, it just comes naturally.

Meezer Rules Wednesday

Last night I found that sometimes the humans are actually listening to us! Cheysuli's Mom invited Meowmy to partake in her prize of a group teleconference with an animal communicator last night. Meowmy chose to speak to me and I told her that I am the thinker of family, I'm very proud of my silky coat that the entire neighborhood admires it (all of the neighbors totally tell me I'm so cute when they see me in the windows). She was curious about how my early medical experiences affected my personality (yesterday was actually my 3 year anniversary of my bone infection). I told her that I take everything in stride and I've moved on. It made me be more physically careful but I harbor no regrets or bad feelings about the experience. I also communicated that I'm constantly warry of Kaze because she might jump on me physically or mentally (um yeah!! she is SUCH a little brat). Finally, I mentioned that I am very particular and I like everything to be in the correct spot- especially my curled tail. I had a fun time and I sure hope Chey's mom enjoyed hearing more about me as I know Meowmy had a fun time hearing about all of the animals.

P.S. I guess it has been so long since I've told about my bone infection story some of you don't know about it. You can go here and find out what I went through.

Toysay

This is my most favoritest toy in the whole wide world! In recent months I have not been as leapy as I used to be. I'd kind of rather just wait for the toy to come out of the sky. The butterfly toy always gets me leaping. For me, playing is the reason for my existence. I eat to play, I drink to play, and I sleep to play!

Man Cat Monday & Meezer Monday

I spent the weekend enjoying the warm air and my Awesome Man. There were many naps and I even purred while the Woman pet me. It was a good weekend. On to my appendage named Latte.....he just won't stop rubbing on me and it is really annoying!

So I have a bit of an embarrassing incident to report. With the nice warm weather the windows were open and we were able to hang out on the front porch. Suddenly there was a fly in the house! As the house-hunter I stalked it for hours watching it on the ceiling. Eventually the fly got tired and tried to get out of the window but met the screen and fell onto the sill. I ran over and tried to catch the fly but I it was suddenly gone. Meowmy was laughing and pointing at me and I didn't know why. When she stopped laughing enough to actually speak she told me that the fly was stuck on my cute brown nose and all I had to do was lick it off but I had no idea it was there!! My skills are apparently lapsing from a long winter.

Frootbat Friday

Here is a large dose of frootbat coming at you! My Lap Lady has a new name she likes to call me. Neither of us really know where these things come from but suddenly one day she will just blurt it out and then it sticks. Apparently now I am "Sprinkles". Right....I haven't really adopted it yet but we'll see. I still would always prefer to be called by my royal name, Princess Kahzeezee Bumblestumps the Third. Or if someone calls Latte, then I have to run to intercept his affection.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for hanging in there with us this week while we've been MIA. The LL & TM's company bought a building down the street from our house (it is a 2 minute walk!) and they are starting demolition this week. In fact, today the whole office is at the building tearing down walls, taking out carpet, etc. Thanks to our many friends who continue to comment and give us awards, we love you all so much!! We have a bunch of awards & memes to catch up on but we'll start with the 5th folder, 5th picture one that Derby just tagged us for. This is the Lap Lady's riding helmet and it smells really weird!

Thirsty Thursday

Ahem. I'm fricking THIRSTY here. I do not like this new policy of the closed bathroom door. The bathroom faucet is the fresh spring of water where we all get our supply of water. You are dehydrating us!!! So what if we have a water fountain just for us, the faucet is best. Bring back the faucet!!!! And shockingly, the Awesome Man is the culprit in this mess because he wants the sink to stay "clean".

Wordless Wednesday

(On the wordier front I have some great news for those of you worried about Dragonheart and Merlin! We got a surprise package in the mail the other day with a couple of Kaze's most favorite toys in the world. We were so happy to hear from them and they said that they are still having really bad computer problems. We sure hope they can make it back soon but we're really really happy know they are all OK!)

P.S. We know we aren't commenting much right now because Meowmy is busy with workies. We are reading and keeping up with everyone and we promise we'll be commenting again soon!

Tortured

The weekend was just plain torture. The fev-vers are migrating and we had a flock of robins and starlings taking furlough in our ginormous holly bushes next to the house. They chitted and chirped and just taunted us with their fluttering wings. Chase sat on the kitchen table and watched them poo on the deck. Latte claimed they were not interesting enough for him. Me? I sat here all weekend and watched. And waited. And prayed one would come through the window.

All I got was a furmination on the back deck. However, this did afford me the opportunity to get closer to them and meezer in their general direction. They were quiet when they heard the mighty Kaze-hunter. Oh yes, they lived in fear I tell you! I continue to lie in wait...

Man Cat Monday

We're currently having a snow explosion here. There is so much snow the humans aren't even going to the work place due to all of the white stuff. Yesterday the Woman took us all outside to furminate us. I was last because I'm the furriest. I liked it for a while but it was rather tempting to try to run after the fev-vers out there. Eventually I grrr-owled at her because Man Cats do not like to be pampered. I don't know why she bothers, it isn't like I'm going to put less hair on the furniture or anything.
