Tailsday

Ode to my Tail
by Kaze the Cat

I shall hug you tight,

And lick you with all my might!

Though sometimes, we may fight

Whenever we meet in the sun-light,

I know I'll never let you leave my sight!

Tailsday

As you know the Lap Lady got the "pod" for Christmas. She says she really sacrificed a present to us cats but puuuhleeeze....we're the only things that matter in the house. Once the Tree/fresh spring was removed, and the furniture placed back into the rightful spots there was a dilema about where to put the POD.

Well, my favorite spot to be is in the Heat Box and Latte has taken to liking it even more than me (jerk PUSHES me out!). There was a perfect sized spot next to the Heat Box so now we can chill in the POD and have hot air blow in and not escape. Its HOT in there!!! Especially with 2 cats. Chase gets his alone time in there too but I like to snuggle with Latte for added warmth. You can see our tails got a bit warm and wanted to "breathe".

The Lap Lady told me that she is really really sorry but she will be away until next Wednesday. Post will continue to occur due to the magic of Blogger but we won't be commenting. When she gets back she'll have lots of pictures of ice and snow and the Great North. Gamma will be taking good care of us but she has no idea how to blog.

Tailsday

As you can see Chase and I have very different tail sizes. Well, different sizes all together really- I could almost be a kitten next to him.

Speaking of tails we have a bit of a problem with our backyard squirrels. One of them decided to gnaw off a piece of our roof and make a nest in our gutter. When Meowmy was coming home from work yesterday she noticed a big floofy tail coming out of the gutter. She told the Tall Man who freaked out. They went back outside and found her right back in there. So out the ladder came and the Toy Man leaned it on the gutter when.....WHAM! Squirrel shot out of the gutter and landed flat on our porch roof. She took a minute to regain her composure, then ran into the tree and yelled at them for 20 minutes while they removed her nest items.

Then they started attacking the tree limbs where the squirrel was using to get onto the house. You should have seen my Meowmy pulling on a rope in high heels pulling the tree branch down. Meowmy weighs 105 lbs. and the tree- lets just say a bit more. So yeah, the tree limb triming didn't go that easily. Have I mentioned that my humans are extra special cases of insane humans??

(Oh and don't worry, my Meowmy loves squirrels, even looking out of the gutter she said "aww! how cute!" They just want them to live in one of the many trees in the backyard and not chew our house apart)

Twosome Tuesday, tailsday, toesday, toysday!

Since I'm totally deprived of play time and I've tried reporting my humans to the authorities but they just hang up on me...I have to use drastic measures and play with my brofur's tail. I just have lots of creative energy you know? I need to be active, playing with "trash", pulling myself across the floor by only my clawrs, and practicing my singing from on top of the kaze-proof-trash can.

If they'd just play with me more than 30 minutes a day then I wouldn't have to find so many ways to show my creativity! Really at this point I'm thinking of having a show at a gallery of my "trash" artwork. I'm currently working on a special interactive piece that involves a crumpled up receipt from American Eagle and the empty paper bag from American Eagle. Its really hard to understand the intricacies of what I'm trying to get across and I have to be careful my humans don't wreck my artwork.

The Woman is metal machine shopping via the Internet today because she's trying to own her "fast" or something. She's a lean, mean, negotiating machine!!

***Luckily the nice women at the VET's office know that we're full up on cats or else.....there might be tiny little calico or tuxie or black kitten in the Lap Lady's car. Luckily, they talked her out of it by saying, "Lauren, you are full up!!!!". But if you know of anyone in our area looking some dumb kids dropped the litter of 4 off at the VET's office with sunchips to eat. Brilliant."***
