Man Cat Monday

There were boomies and flashes and HAIL last night. I do not really do well with storms...I flat-cat (I crouch my body as low as it can go and run as fast as I can) and take cover until all is well. My usual hiding spot is behind the bathroom door but the Awesome Man has been keeping that door shut so I have to find a new place. I tried behind the couch but it just didn't feel right. Basically I had to flat-cat around through the whole storm.

Poor you. We understand, but luckily we don't mind storms that much. Cliff will go to bed and be a bit annoyed while Olivia tends to sit in the window taking it all in. Lightning, thunder and so on.

you know, we nefur had a word for when we shuffle real close to the ground when we're scared, but we like "flat-cat."
sorry you had to flat-cat. storms are furry scary and loud sometimes!

That sounds pretty exhausting, Chase!

Any particular reason your AM has been keeping the bathroom door closed? Does he not realise the impact of his actions on your psychological well-being?

Stygia: I slunk away for the duration of our storms, too. Don't feel bad!

Abby: You are both silly. It's so exciting!!!! You should sit in the window for all the thunder, lightning, and rain like I do!!

I was watching the radar continually when they announced the bad storms. We were lucky, what we got was not as bad as where you live. Sunny was running around trying to find a hiding spot, too.

I usually go under the bed or under the couch or under the laundry tub. But there's really no good hidey spot. Thunder boomies always seem to find me.
Sorry you got locked out of the bathroom. What was AM thinking??? Is the door shut because of some other trash swiping kitteh? Because that sort of sucks. That's why our doors are closed - Titus gets into all kinds of stuff. :(

Tazo

Chase, the best place to go is under the bed!

Aw man. No bed to hide under? That's where I go...

I can't believe they blocked your hiding spot. I can't think of a worse time to have to find a new hiding spot than during a storm. Glad you made it through OK.

Storms are mighty scary, so you don't have anything to be ashamed of. Maybe your A.M. will learn something from this and make sure you have a place to hide before the next storm hits.

Hahha Momma calls my flat cat "combat kitteh" a cause it looks like I is being a big brave man cat crawling through the trenches! hehe
I only feel comfortable next to my sisfur in storms, not even momma can make me not scared :)
