Thankful Thursday

Well last night was the first night of Passover so that is always a good time to be thankful for the freedoms we all have. That and the lack of bloody rivers, locusts, etc. Anyhow....I'm thankful for my amazing friends who wished me a happy birthdayish. I haven't had a chance to come around and thank everyone (ahem...useless help....) but I will try! The useless help (I really should just call her that all of the time) is studying for yet another annoying test, this one is the GRE. Apparently if she does well on it she can get some moolah towards her tuition. Gosh I'm dead sexy aren't I? I mean look at me!

Thankful Thursday

My Lap Lady is home!!!!!!!!!!! I missed her sooooooo much. She's getting settled back into work and home and pretending to unpack. I'm just purring my little head off! Thanks for everyone coming over and keeping us company and playing with me. You all made the time bearable! Also, please bear with us as we catch up....the LL didn't have e-mail up in Canada so she has a lot to help us catch up on.

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm doing the thanks for the Woman. Yesterday was a big day for my Woman. She went to her doctor's appointment and the doctor man was able to help her where 5 other doctors in 10 years couldn't. So she's pretty happy about that.

Then she and the Awesome Man went to the Drexel University Law School for an information session. The Woman was not really all that impressed. They are only provisionally accredited by the ABA so she didn't think they needed to be so uppity.

She has to go to a school that understands that while she takes school seriously she has a business and cats to make happy and take care of. So she decided that if she has to go all out then she's going all out and aiming for the University of Pennsylvania. Its ivy league and that scares her but her advisor from undergrad thinks it could happen and the Awesome Man tells her all of the time she has to have confidence in herself and her abilities. Its certainly not a guarantee but it could happen and she needs to aim for her very best or not bother at all. Right? (She doesn't want me to say this but she's TERRIFIED).

Thankful Thursday

Bet you didn't know I'm really snuggly did you? Well I am. But Latte has to come up to me. Actually I even snuzzled with the Woman yesterday morning- purring and all. I know, I shock myself sometimes too.

Today we would both like to say how thankful we are for each other. We are thankful that the three of us get along so well most of the time and are a happy little family. Also we're thankful for all of our community of blogging cats and humans. We might not all think the same, like the same treats, do the same things, but we all come together when times are tough no matter what. We love that about this community. So today we want to make sure we thank someone who makes us laugh, think, and smile: Cheysuli and her mom. Now I know you're going to say Latte is biased but even if he wasn't married to Cheysuli we would support her for taking on the tough issues even in the face of opposition. Cheysuli we salute you!

Thankful Thursday

Today we are thankful for our very brave friend Texas who sadly went to the Bridge last night. He gave us this award and it really means a lot to us. We want him to know we are with him and his family through this hard time.

We are also thankful the project is done. That's right- the room is officially painted and cleaned up. I sure hope my humans do not try to do another project any time soon. Does that mean the cat room is ours again? No. Bisitor this weekend. I'm going to be really thankful next week when life is back to normal!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful the windows have been open in the sleeping room at night. The air has been really cool so I sleep in the open windows so the air blows right on me. I'm also happy I got some alone in the bedroom time but that I know how to knock on the door when I want to be let out. Finally I'm thankful that the Awesome Man hasn't packed yet. I think that means he's not going anywhere, right?

Something I'm not thankful for is how Latte needs to be held and licked and snuggled when the humans aren't around. He's SUCH a big baby!

Thankful Thursday

Thankfully the search for the new metal monster is over! That Woman is lucky she is a partner in the company because I don't think most bosses would like you to spend an entire day searching for deals on metal monsters. She got a good deal though- better than she thought she could. So now the way metal monsters work in our family is that this new car gets parked in the garage for all time. The "old" car that is 4 years old and has 2,700 miles on it (I'm not kidding) is now the daily driver. I will say my humans work together so they only need to drive one car most of the time. You all know I love my Tall Man but....he's pretty crazy with cars. So yeah, now life can get back to normal and we can actually read what our friends are up to and post some comments and have the humans at home at night. And no, the Woman still hasn't ridden Snap since Saturday so yeah, she's REAL cranky now. So tomorrow after work the AM had better be ready to get to the barn with her.

Thankful Thursday

Today we're thankful that the humans got married 4 years ago. Sure I was with them for 4 years before that but the family started to explode after they got married. Snap joined the family a month later and Latte a little over a year later followed by Kaze. The humans say we're full up and I have to agree! Plus, we have all of you- our friends who are a part of our family.
On the Woman's Honest Tea cap for lunch she found this quote:

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." ~ Gandhi
