Farewell to our very Dear Friends

Today we lost two of the original cat bloggers: Fat Eric & Luxor.  Their loss makes us very sad but reminds us of the good times as well.  Lux hosted one of our most favorite competitions ever and he was a dear friend and kindred spirit of Kaze.  He and Kaze were the original Frootbats!

As for us we're chugging along, getting ready for The Woman's fall semester to start on Monday.  We never wanted to officially announce us leaving the Cat Blogosphere but by now it is pretty obvious we just don't have the time to put into everyone that is deserved.  We'll post from time to time though!  And if you could spare any purrs for me (Chase) I've been very sick for the past day vomitting and dire-rear pretty nasty but I seem to be getting better today.

Frootbat Friday & Gifts!

Frootbat.....

Frootbatless!
What I'd look like with no ears.

Our friends in Denmark Cliff and Olivia took part in the Pay it Forward Fun and we were lucky enough to be one of their first posters so they sent us a package from far far away!

Here is what it is all about:
“The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and ‘pay it forward’ in their own way.

This is how it works…

We are going to agree to send something fun, inspiring or uplifting to the first 3 blog owners who post a comment on this entry. In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to us, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog.

There are no cost restraints, BUT don’t go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile. Maybe something unique from where you live?

And, remember that kindness doesn’t have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go - just look around.”

The Lap Lady's favorite part was the handmade card by their mom! We knew she was super talented with photography but her painting skills are superb!

My favorite part was this puzzle ball thingy. I can pick it up in my mouth AND bat it around. It's great!!
This is all of the loot!!! Can you believe it? There are so many fun toys and tasty treats....just so much fun. We will have to show you pictures of us playing when the LL gets out from under the casebook.
I was not so sure about the tasty treats....they smell interesting but I've never tried anything like them. We all really love international packages because there are so many cool things we never get to experience. My favorite part is the ping pong balls. They are light and roll around.
Wow, so much fun!! We plan on passing it along too to our first three friends who want to participate. It is amazing what a package can do to make us smile!

Frootbat & Friend Friday

I'm a very sad frootbat today. While I'm sad I'm also so proud. Storm fought an incredible battle against lymphoma- twice! Twice she kicked the tumors and stayed positive. She's just tired now and who could blame her. 12 years and 4 months time doesn't seem enough but she's loved every moment of that time and graced our lives with her joy and spirit. I'm just thrilled to have known her. So this one's for you Storm, enjoy your time at the Bridge until we all meet you there again! She certainly left more than one paw print on our hearts.
