Frootbat Friday

Ah...that's better! We don't do too well when our blogging time is restricted. So the big tree is up in the living room and while we're all enjoying playing under its boughs and drinking the water, the tree remains incomplete. The lights are up but no hanging cat toys (aka ornaments). The Tall Man says that you can only decorate the tree when there is good Christmas Magic in the air and there just isn't around here.

I know we haven't been commenting as much as usual but we're just kind of all sad. We really miss our friends Dragonheart & Merlin and we don't know if they're OK or not. We mailed them a letter but haven't heard from them, we just hope they're OK.

As everyone knows this Economy is bad bad news. Its getting tight at the office and today the Tall Man & Lap Lady have to let someone go. Its not something my humans want to do at all but they have to keep the company going for everyone else who depends on it. The nice man's part of the company is so slow there is no work for him to do at all. They've been giving him office related stuff (website, etc) but its just been too long with no new projects and none on the horizon (despite very valiant marketing efforts). The Lap Lady's been really stressed and depressed about all of this so we've been lying low and purring on her a lot. She's a nice Lap Lady and she can't stand hurting other people even when she knows its the only way.

In good news at least Auntie K is coming to visit us on Monday! She lives in Kentucky so its a nice treat and the Lap Lady can't wait to see her.

So hard to decide what to do.
I hope your beans are doing ok, could maintain the standard living level. Right now I think we don't asking for rich life, but normal life as usual, wishing won't get worse.

I wish 3 of you and your beans are doing fine. And your beans's family as well :)

Beautiful photo of Kaze, as always!

Everyone is really worried about Dragonheart and Merlin. It's really hard not to know what's happened to them. We hope they respond to your letter. Maybe we should start a blogging "buddy system" so that each blogger has at least one other blogger who knows how to get in touch with them by phone.

Times are really tough everywhere and a lot of people are suffering. All we can do is shower our humans with love.

Your Pals,
Sen-Chan, Tom and Tama-Chan

Mom says she has had to let people go, and that she understands that the Lap Lady would feel even more badly given the economic times and being just before Christmas. We will purr and purr for the Lap Lady and for the person being let go.

Yes, the economy has a lot of beans down. Meowm has been feeling it. She couldn't buy for Christmas like she likes to and she worries about her job. I guess all we can do is purr for things to get better and purr on our beans for them to feel better.

Lovely picture of you Kaze!

And we want to hear from Dragonheart and Merlin too. We understand that they are having computer problems though. It was posted somewhere on the CB.

It is very sad when you have to lay people off. Our friends had their own small business and the last time the economy took a downturn they had to let people go and then eventually sold the business.

In better news, someone contacted Dragonheart and Merlin's breeder who contacted their person and they are okay but haven't been online. I think they put that in the CB about a week or two ago (small note)

We are very worried about the economy, too. My Daddie works for a bank, and he survived a layoff of thousands. But now the bank has been acquired by Wells Fargo, so we have to wait and see if there will be more layoffs.

I'm glad that someone heard that Dragonheart and Merlin are okay. But I still think it seems strange that they did not post anything, even if just to say goodbye.

We is very worried about our hairy fuuriends also.. I hope everybody is ok! :(

Your Momam and daddy sound to be in a pickle... it is horrible the responsibilities of business ownership and even being the boss,Momma does not know what the IR laws are over there but did your Momma and Dadda think about maybe making people part time rather than full time and job sharing?
They are alternatives to having to let people go altogether and work great when trying to work within a budget let alone getting people trained up in all different aspects of the business so they can multi task? :)
Just an idea :))

It really bites when you have to let someone go. I hope your people feel better about it soon. And that you get your tree toys. Those are very important if you're gonna have a tree.
