I went on an Out of Doors adventure after I screamed at Latte for a long time. I don't have my own harness since I'm not a huge Out of Doors success story. I scream a lot out there. Anyhow, I thought this next picture really shows off my movement. I have a very interesting gait and have been told I look nothing like a cat when I'm walking around.
After sniffing around in the garden for a bit I walked down the side of the house and saw an EVIL SQUIRREL out in the open!! I crouched down flat and my body tensed like a spring....suddenly I....yelled at the squirrel at the top of my lungs. My LL calls me a hunting failure. Hey, I thought if I told it where to go it would just jump in my belly!

Meezers will talk to anything but really, squirrels won't wait when you tell them too. They are rude that way...

Did you scare the evil squirrel? You are a very cute kitty.
You look wonderful in your harness, Kaze! As for screaming, our older brother Sen-Chan used to leap around, screaming his head off, the whole time he would be outside. He was just singing for joy!

Yelling at Evil Squirrel does not work. We have tried that. He just chitters back loudly and throws pecans at you.

Hmmm, that might not be such a great hunting strategy. But I never caught any squirrels, so I do not know any better strategies.

Those darn squirrels are difficult to hunt - our neighbor kitties are always trying to catch them, but never quite get there.
The question for your LL is "does she really want you to be a successful hunter?" That would mean presents of the prey variety for her.

We've tried yellin at them squirrels too. It dint werk. But nutthin else does either, so why not yell...

No no Kaze. You have to be quiet and stealthy. You get down real low and slowly move one paw at a time and creep up behind them, then spring. Then they run up in the tree and laugh because they got away again.
