Today I thought I'd show a little of the behind the scenes work with our pictures. For the three of us we take about 200 pictures a week +/-. Then the Lap Lady has to go through them and delete blurry ones, crop, change levels, colors, etc. This is all hard because we work on a Mac at home and the colors look beautiful and then at the LL's work where she reads other blogs everything looks so much darker and less brilliant. But you can't win, every monitor is different.
The Lap Lady tries to get me to look up at the camera so I meeze at her because I want her to play with me and the squiggle.
Then we wait a little as I'm being rather patient hoping she'll put it down and play with me.
And there you have it- a nice shot with my eyes open (as with all of our pictures, if you biggify the effect is much more detail). That's the main goal of all of our pictures, is to get our blue eyes in nice natural light because no matter what she seems to do flashes just don't work for blue eyes. Chase is much easier but then again he's always sleeping (don't tell him I said that!!).
Latte update: OMC! So you know how I won the Breeze Box War of 2008? Apparently there has been a new battle added. All regular boxes have been removed and replaced with Breeze Boxes. I have held out and held out and held out. I went in and out of them and looked at her lots. Sigh...you know what I had to do?? Pee in the Breeze Box. *(*&%!#@ her!!!!!!
Friday Morning Update: We conceded defeat. We have all peed and pooed in the Breeze Box. We humbly acknowledge we did not win this war. Even Chase who held out for a full 24 hours gave in. Meowmy recommends the Breeze Box now. Sigh...

DKM got one also... I'm ignoring it
We are also ignoring our Breeze box.
However I am impressed at the volume of photos you must all put up with. I am not that patient--ever!
HAHAHAH~~~~
Well I am sure Chase's awake time is your sleeping time.... after all, he doesn't like to be bother while he is awake lol~~
Your eyes are very very beautiful and mystery~!!! I like them, too!
I got in mine the other day but I didn't use it. All I did was get the Woman excited...and that amuses me.
That's sneaky about the breeze box, Latte! But look at it this way: Your name is Kaze, right? That means "wind" right? And it's a "Breeze" box, right? Maybe invented just for you?
Your Pal,
Sen-Chan
We think yer pictures are real good!
Your mom takes great pictures of you, Kaze. Mine also takes loads of pics for just one!
Sorry about the Breeze Box. :-/
You have such beautiful blue eyes, Kaze, and you are so pretty. :) Our mom takes SO many photos of us, and usually ends up deleting a lot of them. She doesn't always get us with our eyes open, but she usually ends up with a few photos she can use!
Oh my cat you are suffering too Latte, like so many of our fellow felines this is a hard summer... My boy is off seeing another cat and Mummy tells me I need to see the vet about my teeth! :(
Very nice pictures! My person has trouble with my blue eyes, too.
::glares at mom:: look "mother" stop telling all of the other kitty mothers how you won our breeze box war. it's not nice.
Kaze, that's a beautiful pikshur of you! Billy is the only one who would tolerate hafing 200 pikshurs taken of him. he's a little camera ho..........g
The time spent on those pictures is worth it...they are lovely and we love seeing your blue eyes!
Breeze Box~~well it was a well fought battle. Unfortunately we cannot always win battles....
My Mommie thinks the hardest part is going through the final photos to choose just the right one: this one, or that one? Sometimes she cannot decide. I think it is easier to take photos of me because my eyes almost never glow, even in the dark with the flash! But yours are such a beautiful shade of blue.
Kaze bloo eyes!
You are a very pretty girl!
purrrs for a happy week-end
Ah yes, the Breeze Box ...
I'm ashamed to admit that it reigns triumphant in our house. I actually held it for almost 2 days, before had to give in. But trust me - I let the mom know how unhappy I am 'bout usin' it. I whine & meeze at it for ~1/2 hour before I actually go in and "use" it. Sigh ...
Mama has blue eyes, too, but she wishes hers were the same color as yours. They are very, very pretty. You look exceptionally froot batty today, Kaze.
Happy Friday to all of you!
Your pal,
Titus
PS - Sorry to hear about your Breeze Box wars. I think the twins are off the hook after the whole giardia thing. Mom still hasn't recovered. hehe
Thanks for the behind the scene information. That's a lot of picture taking going on :-0 The problem I have is when there's great natural light inside, the cats are almost always sleeping :-p Sunny does some really cute stuff every morning I'd love to photograph, but I know it wouldn't be salvageable. Even with the flash and trying to lighten it up in photoshop.
I am so sorry to hear all of you lost the Breeze Box War :( I hope you can have a great weekend despite that :-)
Kaze, your eyes are the most magnificent blue!
Mom feels the same way about flashes; she hardly ever uses one. Our gray furs look like an entirely different color when she uses the flash. And then of course, the red eye or laser bean issue... Natural light is always better, for everything. So says Mom, anyway.
Oh! I didn't know ya had to share yur bloggie now. Do ya all share nice? I wouldn't share wif Rascal.
They just sent me a second one. Dunno how that happened. I have a bad feeling about this.
Kaze, thanks for visiting with us when Momma was too busy to post or visit ... we appreciate it! If we could get Momma to take that many pictures in a MONTH, we would be lucky ... hee hee! She is still trying to decide on a new camera; she will probably go with a point and shoot Canon, especially one that will take video clips! Have a happy Saturday!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
Beautiful eyes! What is this bweeze box thingey? I've been heawing so much about them but we don't get them here.
Oh your eyes are so beautiful!
Mum takes a lot of pictures but not that many! But we did have a good photo shoot the other evening. Pictures to soon appear on the blog.
You are beautiful Kaze. We are sorry the Breeze Box won. We wouldn't use it. We don't use our usual one much either. The greenhouse and vegetable garden are much better.

Daisy May, Bootsie Woo & Katie Too.
I'm sorry you lost the Battle of the Breeze boxes, Kaze. But you do have the most brilliant blue eyes..beautiful!
You do have lovely eyes. Mine are like a yellow green, maybe Mum could get me some bloo contact lenses.
